Ways of Giving

There are many ways you can give to support the Buckley School. Every gift to our school, regardless of its size, sends a strong message that we are committed to our children and their education.

Gifts of cash:

Contributions made by check, cash or credit card are tax deductible in the year the donation is given. Checks should be made payable to The Buckley School. To make a donation with your credit card, you can use our online donation form or contact Maureen Reyes at (818) 461-6705 or email mreyes@buckleyla.org. We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

Gifts of securities:

It is becoming more common for donors to make gifts of securities. If the security has appreciated greatly in value, you avoid capital gains taxes by gifting the stock directly to the school. We recommend that donors consult their financial advisor before making any final decision. Make a pledge:

You can also pledge a gift to the annual fund or other area by contacting Lindsay Newlove at (818) 461-6747 or email lnewlove@buckleyla.org. Pledges can be satisfied through a single contribution or in multiple payments, at a time that is convenient for you. If your gift is to The Annual Fund, all final payments are due no later than April 30 in the school year your gift was pledged.

Matching Gifts:

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. If you work for a company that matches gifts, you can double or triple the value of your contribution! Contact your Human Resources Department for eligibility information and to obtain a matching gift form, and follow your employer’s matching gift procedures.

Gifts Through Your Will or Estate Plan:

Shop and Support Buckley

We've discovered two terrific ways for you to shop ‘til you drop and raise funds for Buckley at the same time!

• The Target Take Charge of Education program is an easy way to raise money for the school while taking care of your normal shopping. All you have to do is use your Target® Visa® or Target® Card while shopping at Target. Buckley receives 1% percent of the amount of each purchase from Target through its Take Charge of Education® program. It's easy. Just visit www.target.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school.
  
  If you're going to Target anyway, please consider using your Target® Visa® or Target® Card. Grandparents, alumni, neighbors and friends can take part, too. Many thanks to those who are already doing their part!

• iGive.com’s partnership with hundreds of online merchants makes “shopping for Buckley” a breeze! Simply go to www.igive.com, choose Buckley as your charity of choice, and register for free to get started. Once you register, a small shopping window reminder tool will download to your browser. This tool will notify you when an online merchant, whose site you log onto, participates in the iGive network.
  
  You can shop directly from the iGive website or use the reminder window to notify you if a vendor participates when you shop online. With most vendors contributing 5, 10 or even 15% of your total purchase to Buckley, it’s easy to see how your shopping dollars can add up for the school. And with participating merchants such as Gap, eBay, Staples, Best Buy, Nordstrom and many, many more, you can be sure that your online shopping endeavors will go far!
