Administration Appreciation Hide

Coordinates the donation and delivery of monthly treats (snacks or a meal) for faculty and staff to three campus locations.

Auction (Live & Silent) Hide

Coordinates and manages the auction process, from solicitation of donations from the Buckley community and the community at large, to transportation of donations, data entry, online catalog production, bid-sheet production, product presentation and wrapping and day-of auction management. Works with the director of advancement and staff on the annual Buckley Fair and special fundraisers.

Buckley Backstage Hide

Provides hands-on support for performing arts events through costume, set construction, ticket sales, publicity, cast/crew and other performance-related food services, archives and house management. Works closely with the performing arts department chair and staff on primarily Upper School performances.

Buckley Fair Hide

Creates, plans and produces this major annual fundraiser under the guidance of the director of advancement and staff. Also works closely with the auction committee. Manages coordination of volunteer staffing, parent/community sponsorship, site decoration and signage, event promotion, on-site food service, Fair-branded merchandise, boutique, student raffle, rides and other entertainment activities.

Community Service Hide

Under the direction of Buckley's Community Service Director, the Buckley Community Service Committee has a goal to inspire Buckley students to participate in a wide range of service activities to benefit our school, our local community, and the world at large. The committee plans and oversees a very active program of events throughout the school year, many of which take place during school hours, including:

  • Buckley’s Annual Community Service Day: Planning for more than 500 volunteers to assist at 6-8 local venues for a "day of giving back" each Fall
  • Disaster Relief
  • Assistance for Buckley Community Members in Need
  • Gently Used Uniform Sales to benefit Buckley’s Financial Aid Program
  • Lost and Found and Locker Clean Outs
  • Book, Food, Blood and Toy Drives
  • Service Learning Projects for Classes, Clubs, Student Government, and Other Organizations
  • Community Service Honor Programs for all Grades
  • Recycling Projects
  • Biannual Buckley Benefit Concert
Dads Club Hide

The Dads Club was formed in order to provide Buckley fathers with opportunities to meet each other, socialize and support the school. The Dads Club hosts informal dinners, basketball nights, wine tastings and provides support for school-wide events and special projects.

Emergency Preparedness Hide

Works with the Health Office in enhancing our children’s safety in the event of unforeseen disasters. Ensures that on-campus emergency medical supplies, food and water are readily accessible and up-to-date. Assists with fire, earthquake and lockdown drills. Disseminates emergency preparedness information to Buckley parents.

Evening Event Hide

The Evening Event is held every other year. It brings together our Buckley Community with faculty, staff and parents. The evening consists of dinner, dancing, entertainment and an auction with amazing items. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and a wonderful and memorable event.

Hospitality Hide

Assists administration in creating a warm and inviting ambience at a variety of school-sponsored events.  Coordinates refreshments, decorates and hosts events throughout the year.

Lower School Buckley Readers' Club Hide

Works with Lower School librarian in rewarding and recognizing enthusiasm and commitment to reading.  Hosts special readers’ lunches and live events throughout the year.  Acknowledges reading level accomplishments at an end-of-year awards event.

Lower School Library Book Fair Hide

Assists Lower School librarian in managing all aspects of Buckley’s fall and spring book fair fundraisers, and in encouraging reading enjoyment.

Lower School Library Staffing Hide

Works with Lower School librarian in maintaining an organized and inviting library atmosphere that our younger students can enjoy.  Recruits and schedules parents for year-round staffing, helps in shelving, processing, and covering of books, as well as in creating theme displays that further the students’ reading interests.

Merchandise Hide

Works with administration in designing a variety of fund-raising merchandise. Coordinates with vendor in supplying school-spirit items throughout the year. Sells Buckley merchandise and maintains inventory.


New Parent Welcoming & Tour (Lower School) Hide

Works with director of admission and staff in creating a warm and inviting welcome to new parents through the admission process by assisting with admission open houses, Buckley’s pre-fair breakfast, and other welcoming events. Parents also serve as tour guides for prospective families as well as acting as a buddy family to a new incoming family.

Works with director of admission and staff in creating a warm and inviting welcome to new parents through the admission process by assisting with admission open houses, Buckley’s pre-fair breakfast, and other welcoming events. Also serve as a buddy family to a new incoming family.

Party Book Hide

The Party Book contains information about social gatherings for adults, families, and kids. The parties are organized and fully hosted by a current Buckley family, and there is a cost per person to attend. The proceeds of the event support the Parents’ Association, and the money is invested back into Buckley. Not only is this a great way to raise money for Buckley, but it is an amazing way to build our Buckley Community and friendships.

School Chair (Lower, Middle, and Upper School) Hide

Works with the principal and assistant principal of each division, and coordinates with room/class representatives to support a wide variety of events.  Assists in fair staffing, grade phone tree and other division-sponsored events throughout the year.

Welcome Picnic Hide

Coordinates and plans this annual picnic for all Buckley families with guidance from the director of advancement and staff. Responsible for managing invitations, decorations, food, rentals and parking.
