Over two days this week, sales of gently used uniforms helped replenish many students’ wardrobes and raised $2,255 for the school’s Financial Aid fund. Over the past two-and-a-half years, the sales have raised nearly $20,000 for Financial Aid, most of which goes to off-set uniform costs. Special thanks to the Parents’ Association Community Service Committee, which runs the sales, and to all of our families who contributed uniform items for which they no longer had a use.
It is Middle and Upper School tradition that students and teachers sign the Buckley Commitment, a set of core values (respect, kindness, honesty, loyalty, self-reliance, and self-discipline) we continually strive to develop in ourselves and in our community. The signing follows an assembly at which students and faculty members give their personal thoughts on the components of the commitment. Click "read more" below to view the Commitment Assembly remarks; they are impressive in both their insights and their unique approaches to the topics at hand.
