The courses listed below are the typical classes taken during the Middle School years. Students with special needs (i.e., advanced training, previous skills, etc.) may make changes after consultation with their advisor and a conference with and approval from their academic dean.

Language Arts 6, Introduction to Literature 7, and Literary Genres 8

Math 6, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I

Science

Topics in Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science

History

World Geography and Cultures, Global Studies, and U.S. History – (Colonial Times through Reconstruction)

Foreign Language

Introduction to Chinese Culture and Language, and two years of French, Spanish, Latin, or Chinese

Physical Education

Levels 6, 7, and 8 and/or Interscholastic Sports Teams

Arts Rotation

Band, Orchestra, Choir, Dance, Life Skills, Computer I and II, Art I and II, Drama 6, 7, and 8, General Music, Journalism, or Scriptwriting
