• Coach Sherman Named CIF SS Girls Tennis Coach of the Year

  After leading the Buckley girls tennis team to back-to-back CIF Southern Section Division IV titles, not to mention to four consecutive trips to the final round, Coach Sue Sherman has taken the top coaching spot; Today, the California Coaches Association named her Fall CIF Southern Section Girls Tennis Coach of the Year. She is now in the running for statewide coach of the year.

• Girls Varsity Tennis Takes CIF Championship for Second Year

  On Monday, November 21, the girls varsity tennis team accomplished exactly what they boldly set out to do in their first practice of the year: repeat their 2010 season feat of winning the CIF Southern Section Division IV Championship. They captured the title by defeating a strong Cerritos team 10-8 in the finals.
