Send our office an online inquiry or request information via phone by calling (818) 783-1610, extension 709. This website is also designed to provide answers to many of your questions as prospective parents and students.

Step 2

Visit us!

Take some time to visit our beautiful campus during a personal tour arranged by our office or by attending one of our several Open Houses. During these visits, you will be able to tour our classrooms, speak with our faculty, and even chat with current students and parents about their Buckley experience. Step 3

Apply

Applications can be completed online, or you can download them from our website, or complete and submit them by the mail from our Application booklet. Once the completed application has been received by our office, you will be contacted to schedule your parent interview.

Application Deadlines:

• Kindergarten – December 1
• Grades 6-12 – December 15

*Both parents must sign the application form.

Step 4

Submit Supplemental Materials (Due no later than February 1)

Teacher Recommendations

The following recommendation forms are required for the respective grades:

• All grades – Administrative Recommendation (Kindergarten Optional)
• Kindergarten – Kindergarten Recommendation
• Grades six through twelve – English Recommendation and Mathematics Recommendation (If the applicant’s mathematics and English teacher is the same, please ask another academic teacher.)

Authorization for Release of Student Records

Students applying to grades six through twelve must submit all academic transcripts for the current school year and the previous school year (Upper School applicants are required to submit records from the previous two years in addition to the current school year). The Authorization for Release of Student Records form should be given to all schools attended by the student in the previous two years.

Step 5

Assessments/Admission Test

Kindergarten - Applicants to kindergarten will be assessed in small groups of approximately 10 children. Assessments, which last an hour, will take place during the week beginning in January 2008. The small group setting allows students to interact in a classroom style setting while being assessed for developmental readiness.

Grades six through twelve – Applicants to grades five through twelve at Buckley are required to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). This test is designed to assess a student’s academic achievement and is produced by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). Buckley recommends that student applicants take the ISEE no later than the first weekend in February. Buckley’s school code is 051628. For further information, please visit www.iseetest.org.
