Nature Trail

Just as students and faculty at The Buckley School refer to themselves as belonging to the Buckley Community, the plants covering the local hillsides of the Santa Monica Mountains have their communities too! Along the trail you will pass through many of the plant communities that typify the Santa Monica Mountains.

Most of the plants you will see along this trail are native California plants. However, there are several species that have been introduced from other countries that do well and sometimes even better than native plants in our climate.
