Opening for the 2013-2014 School Year: The Science and Mathematics Building
We have exciting news about our plans for our second building - The Science and Mathematics Building: construction of our second building will begin in the summer of 2012 — a full year earlier than expected. This means our 14,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art science and math building will be open for the start of the 2013-2014 school year and we will have added 16 classrooms for our Middle and Upper School campus across our two new buildings.
The Science and Mathematics Building will be home to five Upper School science classrooms, with two shared prep areas, a dedicated robotics classroom, five math and general classrooms, a seminar room, and a Math Department office. In line with the school's environmental goals, this building will be LEED certified.
It is because of the incredible generosity and commitment of the Buckley community that we are able to begin construction of the second building an entire year early. Contributions thus far have helped to raise $26 million toward our $35 million capital goal. We are now $9 million away from what is needed to complete construction of the two buildings.

Buckley is so fortunate to have a wonderful, serene canyon campus. It provides an ideal, peaceful and safe setting that allows students to focus on learning. And beginning in the 2012 school year, our campus will be even better when we open The Academic & Performing Arts Building, a state-of-the-art, two-story, 19,500 square foot building that will house 14 new classrooms, including: performing arts specialty classrooms for dance, choir, drama, and orchestra; 6th grade classrooms; a journalism and publications classroom; a Student Technology Center; and, a K-12 faculty center. As part of the school’s strategic priority to green the campus, this building will be LEED certified.
